My two indoor cats somehow contracted an upper respiratory infection recently. Since they live strictly inside our house, they aren’t regularly exposed to things going around outside, and it hit them hard. They were miserable. Our vet gave them a couple of shots to encourage and expedite their healing, but she also recommended a particular medicine I could administer. Unfortunately, it was only available in pill form. This set arrived too late to help my poor sick kitties, but it would have been perfect! Not only does it come with two different pill shooters, there’s also a syringe and multi-function pill splitter. The pill splitter does, indeed, cut pills in half cleanly, and it also has a built-in grinder so you can grind a pill into a fine powder to sprinkle onto food or into a liquid, like a broth, maybe. All items seem to be well made and functional, though I haven’t had to use them yet to know for sure. I do wish these devices came with some directions for proper use, or at least a few tips. I’m sure it’s pretty obvious or intuitive, but assumptions are never a good idea, especially when it comes to administering medicine. There’s more information about the plastic bag this set came in, and actually, the message on the bag is one of my favorite things about this medication dispensing set! THE WORLD BELONGS TO US ALL – WE MUST PROTECT IT!Bottom line: I’m really glad to have this on hand. I think every pet-loving household should have these items. You just never know when you might need them.
