I got an automatic drip irrigation system for my houseplants. I can water over a dozen of plants all at once from just one water source. I don’t have to go around watering each plant individually anymore. As the system includes 15 drippers, the maximum number of plants would be 15 as well. Besides the drippers, I got the control unit, a 32 feet long distribution hose (it was a bit smelly at the beginning but the odor dissipated after a few days). Next, I got two filters to prevent clogging, two check valves to prevent siphoning effect, 15 barb tee fitting, 5 barb cross fitting, 5 end plugs to stop water flow at the end of the tubing, a USB-C cable for power and charging the internal battery and a detachable hook to hang the automatic irrigator. The system has two separate watering lines, L1 and L2, and I can program different watering schedules for each. I can also control exactly how much water each of my plants gets. The control unit has a display that shows me the current time, when the next watering will happen, how long it will water for, how often, my battery level, and which pipeline is active. I can attach the unit to the side of my water container with the included clip or set it on a flat surface. It has a rechargeable battery that I charge with the USB-C port. I can use it while it’s plugged in or just on battery power, and the battery works as a backup if my power goes out. Unplugged or during power outage, it also turns off the display automatically when not watering to save battery life.Setting up my irrigation system wasn’t complicated at all. First, I decided how many of my plants I wanted to water. Then I cut the tubing to the right lengths to reach all my plants. I connected the tubing to the input and output ports on the main unit. I used the T-bars to split the water flow where I needed to. I put the drippers into each of my plant pots, placed the water filter in my bucket, attached the control unit to my water container with the clip, turned it on, set the time, and programmed my watering schedule for each line. The control panel has seven buttons that let me control everything: power, time setting, manual watering, plus/minus buttons, a switch to toggle between my two lines, and a confirmation button. With these, I can set exactly when I want to water, for how long, and how often. I have two separate watering zones that I can program independently. I can adjust how long each watering lasts, from 5 seconds to 30 minutes, so my plants get just the right amount of water. I can customize how frequently watering happens, from hours to days. If I need to water right away, there’s a manual option for that. If one of my plants dies or I need to remove it from the watering schedule, I can just close off that individual dripper. I can also control precisely how much water each plant gets, which is important because my succulents need way less water than some of my other thirstier plants.I don’t worry about my plants when I’m away on vacation or busy at work because I know they’re getting watered on schedule. Each of my plants gets consistent and appropriate watering based on what it needs. I can even add fertilizer or plant nutrients to the water if I want to. It prevents both under-watering and over-watering problems. On the back of the user manual, I found the manufacturer’s email address. The product is made in China and carries CE and FCC certifications, and it complies with RoHS standards. The user manual lists the technical parameters for the control unit. It operates at a working pressure of 0.3 bar and delivers a water flow of 0.5L/min when used without couplings or drippers. The unit is IPX2 waterproof and can withstand a maximum water pressure of up to 200 kPa. It functions within a working temperature range of 37 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The device runs on 3.7 volts with a battery capacity of 2200 mAh. The body is constructed of ABS material. The display supports both 12 and 24-hour time formats. For watering functionality, the duration can be set from 5 seconds to 30 minutes in both automatic and manual modes. The watering frequency is adjustable from hourly to weekly intervals. The unit includes one USB-C port for charging and measures 5.43 x 2.68 x 3.46 inches in size.
